Abstract: 

The road Pavement surface has an important role in relation to address the primary demands of vehicle movement, such as safety and eco-compatibility. In order to reduce road maintenance and rehabilitation costs and optimize the service condition of road networks, Pavement management systems (PMS) need detailed and reliable data of the highway network characteristics. Laser imaging devices can be employed to collect information on an in-service Pavement surface layer through a single measurement with data homogeneity and representativeness in an innovative method. With the recent developments in 3D laser sensors and information technology, high-speed 3D line laser imaging systems with high-resolution has been introduced for measuring key features of Pavement surface condition. This research presents some of the key developments in recent years for laser-based distress measurement systems and explains the technology used in laser-based crack measurement system. Laserbased systems key features are introduced and compared with former data collection methods. These new systems are evaluated and described in terms of their applicability and potential for future developments.

Abstract: 

THE SURFACE LAYER OF ROAD Pavement HAS A PARTICULAR IMPORTANCE IN RELATION TO THE SATISFACTION OF THEPRIMARY DEMANDS OF LOCOMOTION, SUCH AS SECURITY AND ECO-COMPATIBILITY. IN ORDER TO REDUCE ROADMAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION COSTS AND OPTIMIZE THE SERVICE CONDITION OF ROAD NETWORKS, Pavementmanagement SYSTEMS (PMS) NEED RELIABLE AND DETAILED DATA ON THE STATUS OF THE HIGHWAY NETWORK. LASERSCANNERS CAN BE USED IN AN INNOVATIVE WAY TO OBTAIN INFORMATION ON A REAL SURFACE LAYER THROUGH A SINGLEMEASUREMENT, WITH DATA REPRESENTATIVENESS AND HOMOGENEITY. WITH THE ADVANCEMENT OF 3D SENSORS ANDINFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, HIGH-RESOLUTION, HIGH-SPEED 3D LINE LASER IMAGING DEVICES HAS BECOME AVAILABLEFOR Pavement SURFACE CONDITION DATA COLLECTION. THIS PAPER PRESENTS SOME OF THE KEY DEVELOPMENTS INRECENT YEARS FOR LASER SYSTEMS AUTOMATING Pavement DISTRESS MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION. THESE NEWSYSTEMS ARE DESCRIBED IN TERMS OF THEIR POTENTIAL AND APPLICABILITY.

Abstract: 

In this research a computer model formulated on the operating principle of genetic algorithms to serve as an analytical aid for Pavement maintenance engineers is introduced. Analyses are conducted to show the characteristics of important operation parameter of the program. These parameters include: (1) Parent pool size; (2) Mutation rate in offspring generation. The effects of road maintenance parameter such as choice of warning level are analyzed. Examples are presented to illustrate the application of program to the selection of maintenance warning levels. Finally the detailed maintenance and rehabilitation schedules with two objective functions; minimization the present worth of maintenance costs budget and maximization of network Pavement condition index; are presented.

Abstract: 

سازمان بین المللی استاندارد از زمان تاسیس خود در سال 1942، استانداردهای بین المللی متعددی را با همکار ی متخصصان و کارشناسان برجسته جهان و همچنین کارشناسان موسسه های استاندارد کشورهای عضو این سازمان، تدوین و منتشر نموده است. هر کدام از استانداردهای انتشار یافته حیطه خاصی از عملیات و فعالیتها را پوشش داده و بر روی آن متمرکز می شود. مانند استانداردهای سیستم کیفیت، ایمنی و بهداشت حرفه ای و مدیریت محیط زیست. با وجود تشابه فراوان بین این سیستم ها، ادغام نیازمندیهای این سه سیستم بدون پیچیدگی به نظر می رسد؛ ولی این امر در عمل به سادگی میسر نیست. چرا که بایستی ابتدا برای هر سازمان فایده ها، مشکلات و مسایل حاشیه ای جهت ادغام در نظر گرفته شود. علاوه بر این، در نظر داشتن وجوه اشتراک و تفاو تها بین سیستم های مورد نظر نیز ضروری است. با این حال اگر نیازمندیهای سیستم مدیریتی مورد نظر به درستی در سازمان طرح ریزی و اجرا شده باشد و کارکنان سازمان نیز آگاهی و تعهد لازم را در ارتباط با نیازمندیهای آن داشته باشند، ادغام سیستم های مدیریتی به راحتی و بدون ایجاد اختلال در روند جاری فعالیتهای سازمان امکان پذیر خواهد بود. در این مقاله پس از بحث و توضیح پیرامون استانداردهای کیفیت، مدیریت محیط زیست و ایمنی و بهداشت حرفه ای، روشهای ادغام این سه سیستم و فواید ناشی از این ادغام عنوان خواهد شد.

Abstract: 

In the road maintenance system, there are several options for repair and maintenance. But due to resource constraints, one should take into account the various options available to provide the lowest cost with the desired goals and prevent future losses. The purpose of this study was to investigate the management of rural roads in Mazandaran province. One of the most important steps in the management system is to evaluate the current conditions of the Pavement, which uses a variety of indicators. One of the indicators derived from the analysis of failure data analysis is the PCI index, which is one of the best indicators for assessing the failure of Iran's roads. In this research, after field observations and evaluation of failures and analysis with Micro Paver software, it was determined that rural road Pavements had "suitable conditions" with an average of 76PCI. Asphalt Pavement, which represents 87% of the Pavement inventory, had an average PCI average of 74. Concrete Pavements, which constitute 13% of the Pavement inventory, were slightly higher than the 87 PCI. The results indicate that the projected budget is currently 2. 0M / YR (approximately), possibly leading to a 6% decline in the overall PCI, as well as an increase in M & R stagnation over the next five years. The 7. 1 M / YR budget was set to eliminate the recession, which achieved the lowest total cost during the five-year analysis period.

Abstract: 

Limited resources and budget are the most important problem facing the road management sector; therefore, apportionment of maintenance and rehabilitation (M&R) requirements and priorities at the right time and logical are the most significant factors.  Roadway will request continuous (M&R) works to avoid deterioration result from repetitive vehicle weight as well as other factors such as environmental factors. Whether, with the allocation budget that was allocated for roadway maintenance work; there is a necessity to efficiently used the obtainable funding. To execute this, a systematic approach for planning M-and-R process to reach optimum the benefits from roadway segment and minimize necessary funding and costs to repeat the Pavement into first state. This process defined as the Pavement maintenance management system (PMMS); thus, approach would enable agency to allotted funds, labors, equipment and other resources, most efficiently. This paper demonstrates the applying process of the maintenance program according to the genetic algorithm optimization. The aim of it was to obtain the optimal maintenance strategy alternative percent to reach best values for service life extended as well as increasing the Pavement condition index (PCI) along with a specific budget that is not sufficient to restore the whole Pavement to its previous state. After applying this program, it was found that it gives the road an additional service life (1.2 years), and at the same time it gives an increase in PCI value (3.8%), taking into consideration the limited resources allocated for maintenance.

Abstract: 

Transportation and transportation of goods and passengers in each country is one of the key components of its socio-economic development, and it accounts for a large part of the national budget. Due to the high speed of air transportation in the movement of goods and passengers and its impact on economic development, it has been very important in planning the transportation of the country and has always been of great importance. In this regard, the construction of the airport as a place for the maintenance, assembly and take-off of various types of passenger, military and commercial aircraft is inevitable, and ground facilities are an integral part of the airports, the most important of which is the Pavement system. Considering the importance of airports and maintenance of flight levels, this study identifies and prioritizes the effective factors in this regard, which uses a qualitative and quantitative Hierarchical AHP methodology. The results of this study include the number of flights, the implementation of rubber de-mining operations, the type of aircraft, the alternative runway and the history of repairs.

Abstract: 

The best method of efficient management in the field of transport infrastructure is to accurately predict the conditions and performance of Pavement in the future. By reducing errors in estimating Pavement failure, significant economic savings can be made by timely assessment and careful planning. The purpose of this research study is to develop a method for calculating the Pavement status index (PCI) based on Pavement failure data collected in the long-term Pavement performance plan (LTPP) database. Prefabricated Excel software templates are used to transfer faulty data from databases and directly calculate PCIs for developed test units. The main Pavement performance curve based on PCIs has also been analyzed and evaluated as part of this research. Analysis of LTPP data results for several case studies showed that the method of this research is reasonable and statistical parameters showed that the accuracy of this model is good to excellent. The above developed PCI models can be used in Info Pave TM input data, so that users can calculate the PCIs of their desired road sections with the results of this research. PCI-based performance model development can also be added in future versions of Info Pave TM. Although the present study has examined the sections related to asphalt Pavement, but its method can be generalized to experimental sections with concrete Pavement. The results showed that the developed model is closely related to the observed values and is suitable for the main performance curve, and it can be used to predict the performance of the Pavement network.

Abstract: 

Increasing impermeable levels has made water control a great challenge. On the other hand, the increase of impermeable surfaces causes the lack of heat exchange of the underground layers with the air, which will increase global warming. One solution to this challenge is to use porous Pavements. Advantages of porous Pavement compared to normal Pavement,only on run-water control, he can easily increase the use of the road, increase the main road and increase the road, and so on. Restrictions on porous concrete include restrictions on use on high-traffic roads or heavy traffic loads,In other words, with the current knowledge about this Pavement system, it can be used in less traffic routes such as local roads and streets and parking lots. The purpose of this study is to investigate aerated concrete and get acquainted with the standard related to aerated concrete. Also in this research, the advantages and disadvantages of porous concrete, construction, maintenance and common problems of this system have been required. At the end of this research, only to gain general knowledge about aerated concrete and aerated concrete Pavement mix design, common maintenance methods of porous Pavement and common tests in the relevant researches are introduced. In the end, it was concluded that with sufficient knowledge, porous concrete Pavement can be used on roads with low traffic or light traffic load.
